PAR-3D Statistics




The motifs included in PAR-3D were used to scan the complete PDB database (April 2005 release). The sensitivity and specificity for the motifs in PAR-3D has been shown below. PAR-3D also identifies metal binding sites in the structures which have been hitherto unknown.

Sensitivity is defined as the fraction of true positives among all the positives and specificity is defined as the fraction of true negatives among all the negatives. Precision is defined as the fraction of true positives out of total prediction. Efficiency is shown for a)Protease motifs. b)Glycolytic Pathway Enzyme motifs. c)Metal-binding site motif.
